Festival International partners with local publication to produce Official Pocket Guide

Lafayette, LA – Festival International de Louisiane has partnered with local publication, IND Monthly to produce the Official 2015 Pocket Guide. “IND Media is proud to publish the Official Pocket Guide for Festival International 2015.  The 56 page publication is full of useful information to enhance the festival attendee’s experience,” says IND Media’s Associate Publisher, Odie Terry. The Official Pocket Guide has everything a Festivalgoer needs to know from the schedule of performers to parking and shuttle information. The finish product was a joint effort by Festival International and IND Media staff.

In previous years, Festival International developed and produced the Official Pocket Guide, while monthly newspaper, IND Monthly produced a more in-depth Companion Guide for their April issue. “We saw two great festival guides and realized paper consumption could be reduced by about 40% if we joined forces, not to mention an additional cost savings for Festival.’” says Executive Director, Missy Paschke-Wood.

The new collaboration is also part of a Geaux Green initiative by the festival to reduce paper waste. “We support the Festival’s Geaux Green initiative by producing a digital version of the pocket guide in a click and turn format.  The digital version will be on theind.com and festivalintl.staging.wpengine.com sites. Please use both versions of the pocket guide and enjoy a great festival,” says Terry.

Digital versions are available now online at theind.com and festivalinternational.org. The printed version of the Pocket Guide will be inserted in the April 1 issue of IND Monthly and also available at information kiosks on the Festival grounds.
