Volunteers are what make Festival happen. We rely on a large network of individuals who graciously donate their time and effort in various roles to assure the success of this event.
2016 Volunteer Opportunities Coming Soon!
Taking care of the trash ourselves saves Festival a lot of money that we can put toward the music. Court-ordered community service credit will be given for volunteering on the Sanitation Crew.
Beverage sales are Festival’s #1 fundraiser! If you are friendly and experienced handling money our ticket booths are a perfect fit. Ticket sales are also a great place to volunteer if you have any physical restrictions and need to stay off your feet. All volunteers are required to be 18 years old.
Stage Security volunteers check the badges of everyone who wants to go backstage or to onstage viewing areas. If you like meeting new people and listening to music, this is a great spot for you. (Police officers are ready to handle any actual security situations. No big muscles needed!
Pass Zones are the newest way to support Festival. We need you to help check wristbands at the Zone entrances and offer general support inside the Zones. If you are friendly and outgoing, this is a great spot to be!
Join the Pin Pals! Staff the kiosks where pins are sold and ensure Festival stays free for years to come. Selling the official pin raises is one of Festival’s oldest fundraisers. Great for people with fun, friendly attitudes.
Transport artists to and from festival. Volunteers must be 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, be able to volunteer full or half days, and must be able to drive a passenger van.
Jack of All Trades
Do you love Festival and want to help anywhere you can? Sometimes volunteers get sick or can’t make their shifts. We never know when and where we’ll need a pair of extra hands and by volunteering as a Jack of All Trades, you are up for an adventure!
Got what it takes to be our backbone? It will be your job to assist the production crews to set up and tear down all the kiosks, tents, booths, and all other installments. Court-ordered community service credit will be given for volunteering on the Production Crew.
Marché des Arts Hospitality
Early in the week shifts help with the set-up and check-in of Marche vendors. During Festival volunteers help restock and assist vendors in a variety of ways. For people with a love for the fine arts.
Perfect for those with a passion for fashion and retail knowledge. Share the Festival International name by staffing the booths where the latest Festival merchandise & artist CDs will be sold.
Want to rub elbows with the people behind the scenes? Help serve Festival artists and Festival workers food and beverages in our hospitality area.
Chevron Scéne des Jeunes
Put a precious smile on a young face volunteering in our Children’s Area. No craft experience required, we’ll show you everything you need to know. We also need help setting up and tearing down Chevron Scéne des Jeunes- a GREAT way for groups to volunteer together on Friday and/or Sunday afternoon.
Baby Care Station
To meet the needs of our family visitors with small children, we offer a Baby Care Station, to provide a clean, private location suitable for diaper changing, nursing, and/or pumping. Help keep this tent a welcoming place for parents to bring their children while they enjoy the Festival. We ask that Baby Care Center volunteers be female and be at least 16 years old.
Stuller Volunteer Center
Be the volunteer supporting the volunteers! Assist with check-in, hand out official Festival t-shirts, and provide them with up-to-date information and refreshments.
LIME – Louisiana International Music Exchange
Louisiana International Music Exchange (LIME) is a mixer style event, designed specifically for Acadiana area musicians to be seen by music presenters and talent buyers from all over the world. LIME volunteers help with the Friday afternoon showcase event at and do everything from passing out nametags to selling tickets to the public.
Festival Cocktail Tents
Cocktail tent volunteers take tickets, serve drinks, and help keep Festival free! All volunteer are required to be 18 years old and work well in a fast paced environment. (This is a restricted area.)
Musicians’ Village Cafe
NOTICE! This volunteer job happens off-site from the Festival Grounds.
Volunteers at Musicians Village Café work off-site at our host hotel providing a friendly face and hospitality to musicians far from home. Help prepare and serve light snacks and pick-up food donations from local restaurants.
