Volunteers are what make Festival happen. We rely on a large network of individuals who graciously donate their time and effort in various roles to assure the success of this event.
You will be in charge of leading the hospitality team to ensure all artists and guests are greeted with a warm smile and hot meal.
Baby Care Station
If you love caring for young children, this job is for you. Assist in our changing, nursing, and feeding tent near Scene Lafayette General Fais Do Do. This is essential for parents of young babies to enjoy the festival. We ask that Baby Care Center volunteers be female and meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
Beverage / Liquor Booths
For those that like a laid back, fast paced environment. Beverage and liquor booth volunteers take tickets, serve drinks, and help keep Festival free! All volunteer are required to be 18 years old.
Perfect for those with a passion for fashion and retail knowledge. Share the Festival International name by staffing the booths where the latest Festival merchandise & artist CDs will be sold.
LIME – Louisiana International Music Exchange
Louisiana International Music Exchange (LIME) presented by Festival International de Louisiane and Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission is a mixer style event, designed specifically for Acadiana area musicians to share their music with prominent music presenters and talent buyers from all over the world. LIME also acts as a networking event for visiting music buyers who attend Festival International. If you’re big into the local music scene, this is your gig.
Marché du Monde Hospitality
Welcome festival goers to the world’s market. Assist vendors restock their booths and engage curious customers. If you have are a social butterfly and a passion for eclectic items, this is for you.
Marché des Arts Hospitality
Welcome festival goers to our Marche des Arts area, filled with an abundance of creative and eye catching art and experience being surrounded by the world’s finest art and artists. For people with a love for the fine arts.
Media Center (Restricted)
Assure that all our media guests are properly credentialed and show them some southern hospitality. Guarantee every inch of this amazing festival is covered! Perfect for those who are well organized and great in fast-paced environments.
Festival is FREE and we aim to keep it that way. One way we raise money is by selling the Official Cloisonné pin. Staff the kiosks where pins are sold and ensure Festival stays free for years to come! Great for people with fun, friendly attitudes.
Got what it takes to be our backbone? It will be your job to assist the production crews to set up and tear down all the kiosks, tents, booths, and all other installments. Court-ordered community service credit will be given for volunteering on the Production Crew.
Sanitation / Recycling
Taking care of the trash ourselves saves Festival a lot of money that we can put toward the music. Court-ordered community service credit will be given for volunteering on the Sanitation Crew.
Chevron Scéne des Jeunes
Do you get a kick out of seeing a kid smile? Put a precious smile on a young face through craft projects . No craft experience required, we’ll show you everything you need to know. We also need help setting up and tearing down Chevron Scéne des Jeunes- a GREAT way for groups to volunteer together.
Security volunteers are in charge of checking the badges of everyone who wants to go backstage. Don’t worry- police officers are ready to handle any actual security situations. No big muscles needed.
All beverages are bought by purchasing tickets from our designated booths. If you have great customer service skills and experience handling money our ticket booths are a perfect fit. Ticket sales are also a great place to volunteer if you have any physical restrictions and need to stay off your feet. All volunteers are required to be 18 years old.
Transport artists to and from festival. Volunteers must be 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, be able to volunteer full or half days, and must be able to drive a passenger van.
Be the volunteer supporting the volunteers! Assist with check-in, hand out official Festival t-shirts, and provide them with up-to-date information and refreshments.
