Three local music institutions partner for community support

Lafayette, LA – Festival International de Louisiane, Festivals Acadiens et Creoles, and Downtown Alive! Have partnered to create a music triangle of support.

The three organizations have provided free music celebrations for over 100 years, collectively.

“Music is the heartbeat of any culture. But in Acadiana, that heart beats so loudly because of our free music culture that allows anyone and everyone to see world-class live music without paying admission. Supporting this free music culture is so important to keep the music playing, for free. We wanted to make it easier for anyone who loves our free music festivals to give and be rewarded for their love,” said Kate Durio, Director of Marketing & Events, Downtown Lafayette.

Funding for each music event comes from various resources such as sponsorships, grants, donations and beverage sales. Supporters who would like to donate to Festivals Acadiens et Creoles, Downtown Alive and Festival International de Louisiane, can now do so with one monetary donation through the website Continue reading

Save the Date – La Fête du Festival

Ladies & Gents! Party like it’s 1920 with Festival International de Louisiane for their annual fundraising celebration, La Fete du Festival! Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 6:30-9:30 pm at the Grouse Room, located at 1919 Kaliste Saloom Rd #303, Lafayette.

Get ready for a night of Gatsby-inspired glamour that will be a roaring good time with libations, food, entertainment and the return of a much anticipated international musical performance by a long-time Festival favorite! (Announcement coming soon.)

Gulotta-Haggart named Development Director


Lafayette, LA –  Festival International de Louisiane is proud to announce the hire of Candace Gulotta-Haggart as its new Development Director. Mrs. Gulotta-Haggart comes to Festival from New Cardiovascular Horizons Foundation in Lafayette, LA where she was the Director of Development and Special Projects.

As Development Director, Gulotta-Haggart will work to secure all levels of sponsorships for the organization (over 20% of Festival International funding comes from sponsorships), coordinate fundraising events and manage the organization’s donor programs, Amis du Festival and Rain Angels.
