Festival International de Louisiane Announces 2015 Lineup

Lafayette, LA – The 2015 lineup once again features some of the world’s most talented and influential performers. Anjélque Kidjo from Benin, Ukrainian folk-punk quartet DakhaBrakha, Portland’s MarchFourth Marching Band, Quebec’s Nomadic Massive, Lafayette’s own GIVERS and Buckwheat’s World feat Buckwheat Zydeco serve as this year’s headliners.

These musicians will be sub-headlined by an equally diverse group of performers such as JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound, Vieux Farka Touré from Mali, Noura Mint Seymali from Mauritania, Groupto Fantasma, Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience, Jon Cleary, Tal National, Aurelio Martinez, Lisa LeBlanc, The Jones Family Band Singers, Lagbaja, Kinobe & the Wamu Spirit, and Cambalache from Mexico.

This year marks a long-awaited return to Lafayette for audience favorite, Grammy Award-winning Anjélque Kidjo. MarchFourth Marching Band is one of the most requested bands in Festival history and DahkaBrakha are the hottest act in international music today.

Local Louisiana acts include Roddie Romero & the Hub City All-Stars, Lil Nathan & the Zydeco Big Timers, Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers, Bonsoir Catin, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, Brass Bed, Feufollet, Soul Creole, Sunny Duval, Bas Clas, Jeffery Broussard Family Band, Cedric Watson & the Mad Minstrels, Connie G, Leroy Thomas & the Zydeco Roadrunners, Corey Ledet & his Zydeco Band, The Figs, and more!

Festival is especially proud of some local collaborations that will be highlighted in 2015 including Les Etoiles d’Immersion avec Zachary Richard et ses Amis, the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, the International Fiddle Summit featuring David Greely, Sainte-Anne Alumni Allstar Band, and Tipitina’s Intern Musicians from Lafayette.

Big Freedia, the undisputed Queen of New Orleans Bounce, will be playing the first ever Official Festival After Party on Friday, April 24 at NiteTown. Festival is thrilled to welcome this trailblazing artist to Lafayette. Tickets to the After Party are $20 and can be purchased online at All proceeds benefit Festival.


Lafayette, Louisiane – Le Festival International de Louisiane est fier de présenter les nouveaux “Festival Pass.” Ce nouveau programme vise à offrir aux festivaliers une expérience enrichie du Festival, même si l’entrée générale reste gratuite.

“Nous sommes ravis de ces changements qui assurent l’agrandissement et le dynamisme continus du Festival pour les années à venir,” dit Tucker Sappington, Président du conseil d’administration.

Cet été, le Festival International a mené un court sondage auprès des Festivaliers, le but étant de demander des retours sur comment améliorer le Festival. Plus de 1000 réponses ont été recueillies en moins de 48 heures, bien au-delà des attentes. Parmi les soucis soulevés par le public sont l’accès aux toilettes propres et privées et la mise en place de plus courtes files d’attente aux stands de boissons. En réponse à ces retours du public, le Festival International a développé trois niveaux de “pass,” offerts à des prix abordables pour tous les budgets.

Festival International introduces the Festival Pass

Lafayette, LA – Festival International de Louisiane is proud to introduce the new Festival Passes. While the festival will continue to remain free to the public, the Festival Pass is a program offered for those who wish to elevate their Festival experience. The Festival Pass was announced at Thursday’s fundraiser, La Fete du Festival.

“We’re excited for these changes. It ensures that festival continues to grow and stays strong for many years to come.” Says, Tucker Sappington, President of the Board of Directors.

Over the summer, Festival International put out a short survey to Festival lovers, asking for feedback on improving Festival. The organization received over 1000 responses in under 48 hours, far surpassing expectations. Among the most popular concerns were access to clean, private restrooms and shorter drink lines. In response to public feedback, Festival International has developed three levels of passes, offering an option for any budget.

La Fete du Festival, presented by Helmer Announced

Festival International de Louisiane is proud to announce the inaugural La Fete du Festival, presented by Helmer Directional Drilling, to be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm at the Acadiana Center for the Arts.

“We’re very excited about this new event and are grateful for Helmer Directional Drilling, and their continued support throughout the years. We’re looking forward to offering a new event for our Festival community.” Says Tucker Sappington, President of the Board of Festival International.
