What is Festival?

Festival International de Louisiane is the largest International music and arts festival in the United States. Festival International is a beloved cultural celebration of French, Cajun, and Creole heritage, occuring annually in downtown Lafayette. We have music, arts and crafts, street animation, performances, and more!

When is Festival International de Lousiane happening?

Festival International de Louisiane will take place from April 24 to April 28, 2019.

What does is cost to attend Festival?

We will have ATM stations throughout the Festival Grounds. View Festival Map

Another payment method is the Festival IBERIABANK RFID wristband. Register and activate your wristband and enjoy Festival without carrying around credit/debit cards. What is not allowed at Festival?

  • Carts, pets, glass, personal tents, metal poles, shade canopies, beach or pole-style umbrellas, are not allowed
  • Inserting stakes, poles, or any other objects into the ground, or use of ropes, cords, tape, etc. to reserve space is not allowed
  • Weapons, illicit drugs, and other contraband are strictly prohibited
  • Ice Chests or coolers

Is the Festival accessible to people with disabilities?

Yes. Handicap parking is available in the Downtown parking garages. Each stage at Festival International de Louisiane has wheelchair accessibility. Find more information about accessibility throughout Festival here.

Where can I park at the Festival?

We offer a FREE shuttle service to and from Cajun Field, located at 2351 W Congress St, Lafayette, LA 70506. We also encourage you to walk or ride your bike to the festival grounds. Find more information about tranportation and parking here.

Can children join the party?

We welcome guests of all ages! Our Scène des Jeunes is our designated children’s area located at Cathedral Carmel, and will be open Saturday and Sunday from 11am-4pm with activities and bands geared towards children if you’re looking for some great family friendly entertainment! Are pets allowed on the Festival grounds?

While we love animals, we have a NO pet policy in the festival area. It may seem like a cool idea to bring your pet, but loud noises and large crowds are not good for them.

Are you allowed to block off space at each stage to view bands during Festival?

No, you cannot block off space at each stage.

Can I bring a blanket & chair?

Yes, you may bring blankets & small collapsible chairs.

If it rains, would the Festival be cancelled?

Festival is a rain or shine event, though festival hours are subject to change depending on the weather. Stay tuned with us for updates if any severe weather is to come about!
